CRM data migration
Bring the history. Leave the confusion behind.
Move customer and operational information into a CRM with a plan for data quality, record relationships and validation. We agree what should move, what needs cleaning and how the business will keep working during the change.

Is this the right
next step?
Businesses replacing a CRM, combining spreadsheets or importing existing contacts, customers, leads, quotes or jobs into a better-organised system.
What the work covers.
We agree the exact scope before work begins. These workstreams show what can be included and the practical outputs to expect in your proposal.
| Workstream | What we cover | What you receive |
|---|---|---|
| Source inventory | Identify the files, systems, owners, record types and limitations of the information available for transfer. | A source inventory and agreed migration boundary. |
| Mapping and relationships | Map old fields to new fields and define how customers, contacts, opportunities and related records will stay connected. | A field mapping and relationship plan. |
| Data preparation | Agree duplicate rules, required-field checks, formatting and which incomplete or historic records should be reviewed. | A scoped cleansing plan and exception list. |
| Trial import | Test a representative sample before a wider move, checking record links, formatting and important business scenarios. | A trial import and documented findings. |
| Cutover and recovery | Plan the transfer window, access changes, new records created during the move and any practical rollback option. | A cutover checklist and recovery responsibilities. |
| Reconciliation and sign-off | Compare agreed counts and sample records, review exceptions with the business and confirm ownership after the move. | A reconciliation report and acceptance record. |
How we deliver the work.
- 01
Map the everyday work
Understand the customer journey, records, roles, handovers and the tasks that create friction.
- 02
Configure, build and test
Agree the solution, validate workflows with realistic sample data and test permissions and failure cases.
- 03
Roll out and support
Prepare data, train the people using it and agree maintenance, ownership and future improvements.
Your proposal sets out the work specific to this product, the people involved, access and content dependencies, review points and any ongoing support.
How we judge progress.
We agree record counts, required fields, relationship checks and sample scenarios before migration. Successful transfer includes usable records, not simply a completed import message.
What shapes the quote.
Source quality, record volume, attachments, relationships, export restrictions and transfer windows affect effort. Unsupported legacy data may need separate recovery or manual work.
Before starting, we agree the deliverables, responsibilities, schedule, costs, third-party dependencies and any ongoing service. You know which work is included and which needs separate approval.
Questions about
crm data migration.
Can you move data from spreadsheets?
Yes, subject to a review of the files, consistency and target system. We agree how duplicates, missing fields and conflicting records should be handled.
Will all old data be transferred?
Only the agreed data that can be accessed and mapped appropriately. We document exclusions and exceptions rather than assuming every historic field will fit the new system.
Can we keep working during the migration?
We plan around business needs. Some moves need a cutover window or a process for capturing changes made during transfer; the approach is agreed after reviewing the systems.
