Website maintenance & hosting
Look after the details. Keep the website useful.
Ongoing care for the website your business relies on. We agree a maintenance plan around the platform, hosting environment and support you need, with clear boundaries between routine care and new project work.
A little more
extraordinary.
Is this the right
next step?
Businesses that want a named point of contact for agreed website updates, checks, hosting coordination and practical support after launch.
What the work covers.
We agree the exact scope before work begins. These workstreams show what can be included and the practical outputs to expect in your proposal.
| Workstream | What we cover | What you receive |
|---|---|---|
| Initial condition review | Review the platform, hosting, access, extensions, licences and existing issues before accepting ongoing responsibilities. | A baseline review and agreed care scope. |
| Updates and compatibility | Plan platform and extension updates, with appropriate checks and a recovery approach where the environment supports it. | An update schedule and change record. |
| Backups and recovery | Agree what is backed up, where copies are held, retention and how a restore can be tested. | Documented backup and recovery responsibilities. |
| Availability and security checks | Define monitoring, certificate checks, access review and the process for suspected faults or incidents. | A scoped monitoring and escalation arrangement. |
| Content and small changes | Specify whether routine text, image or minor layout changes are included and how requests are prioritised. | A clear allowance and request process. |
| Reporting and renewal | Review completed work, outstanding issues, licence renewals and changes that need a separate estimate. | Care reporting and a practical improvement list. |
How we deliver the work.
- 01
Understand the job
Agree audiences, pages, content responsibilities, features and what a useful enquiry or sale looks like.
- 02
Design and build
Review the visual direction, develop the agreed pages and test the important customer journeys.
- 03
Launch and look ahead
Check the live setup, explain the handover and agree any ongoing care or improvement work.
Your proposal sets out the work specific to this product, the people involved, access and content dependencies, review points and any ongoing support.
How we judge progress.
We report the agreed maintenance actions, checks, known issues and support requests. Monitoring is defined in the plan and is not a promise of uninterrupted availability.
What shapes the quote.
Platform condition, number of sites, hosting needs, update risk and included support affect the fee. Response windows, exclusions and additional development are agreed in writing.
Before starting, we agree the deliverables, responsibilities, schedule, costs, third-party dependencies and any ongoing service. You know which work is included and which needs separate approval.
Questions about
website maintenance & hosting.
Does a care plan include a full redesign?
No. Major design changes, new pages and new functionality are separately scoped unless a specific allowance is included in your plan.
Can you maintain a site built elsewhere?
We can review it first. Required access, platform support, current condition and ownership of licences determine whether we can take on the agreed work.
Do you provide round-the-clock support?
Support hours, response targets and incident handling are defined in the care agreement. We do not imply 24/7 cover or a fixed service level without an agreed arrangement.
