Custom web development

Useful ideas. Built to work.

Custom website functionality for requirements that need more than a standard page layout. We turn the agreed user journey into a practical technical plan, then build and test the features that make the work easier.

Businesses needing quote journeys, booking workflows, customer areas, data connections or other website features that need to fit a specific way of working.

The detail behind the service

What the work covers.

We agree the exact scope before work begins. These workstreams show what can be included and the practical outputs to expect in your proposal.

From brief to handover

How we deliver the work.

  1. 01

    Understand the job

Agree audiences, pages, content responsibilities, features and what a useful enquiry or sale looks like.

  2. 02

    Design and build

Review the visual direction, develop the agreed pages and test the important customer journeys.

  3. 03

    Launch and look ahead

Check the live setup, explain the handover and agree any ongoing care or improvement work.

Your proposal sets out the work specific to this product, the people involved, access and content dependencies, review points and any ongoing support.

Evidence with context

How we judge progress.

Success is assessed against agreed acceptance criteria: the task can be completed, data reaches the right place and the important failure scenarios are handled.

A considered investment

What shapes the quote.

Custom rules, integrations, data sensitivity, user roles and testing needs affect the quote. Hosting, third-party subscriptions and future feature work are identified separately.

Before starting, we agree the deliverables, responsibilities, schedule, costs, third-party dependencies and any ongoing service. You know which work is included and which needs separate approval.

A few useful answers

Questions about
custom web development.

Can you integrate with our existing systems?

We assess the available API, access, documentation and platform limits first. A connection is only proposed once the data and operational requirements are understood.

Is a client portal part of a normal website build?

A portal needs its own scope covering user access, records, permissions and support. We assess it as a specific feature rather than assuming it is included in a brochure site.

What happens after the feature is launched?

We agree handover, maintenance and support arrangements. New functionality, changing third-party APIs and ongoing operational requirements need a defined change process.
